Yvonne Smith
Owner & groomer
I'm Yvonne and I am the owner of Purrfectly Pawsitive (formerly Top Tails Salon), a housecall and salon based specialist cat groomers based in Milton Keynes. I have been crazy about cats since I was little and as soon as I left University I took on my first two cats (which quickly grew to four).
Currently I live with a blue colour point ragdoll named Callie and a red Persian boy called Oscar (pictured chilling out opposite) and have always groomed and bathed my own cats. I starting bathing cats many years ago when an old rescue of mine had bad skin allergies and needed bathing every few days. This was basically learning at the deep end.
I have studied cat grooming with both the Cat Grooming School and Absolute Animals in London, as well as studying with the National Cat Groomers Institute of America (NCGIA). Currently I am also studying for my level 5 (foundation degree) in animal behaviour (specialising in canine and feline).
As well as this I have a CRB and full insurance.
Faith
Salon Assistant
Faith is our first point of contact for you as she will be responding to your enquiries, making sure that you can find us if it is your first visit and assisting with grooms in the salon. She will be making sure your cat feels relaxed and safe (and sometimes distracted with their favourite treats if you bring them)
She is also a pet portraiture artist and her Facebook page is Faith Paints Pets. You are welcome to commission a portrait of your cat or other pet or just enjoy the pictures.
